Professor says that there is life beyond Earth

To make the text more didactic I faked an interview:

“Luiz Ernesto Wanke was professor of physics and mathematics (now retired). Much of his life he spent working on a theory (which he says he proved) that intends to put the fundament ‘LIFE’ as part of the known as ‘fundamental constituents of the Universe’ and thus renew the hopes that there are other lives in outer space. The teacher was interviewed at his home in Curitiba, where nowadays he dedicates to writing. Close to his 80 years, says to have a hurry to disclose his ideas until now filed.

EXPLAIN BETTER YOUR THEORY

We do not learn at school that the universe is composed by matter and energy, the enerma? They are interchangeable by Einstein equation (energy equals mass times the square of light speed). What I modestly intend is to include one more variable, the ‘life’. Then we would symbolically have the matter, the energy and the life – the bioenerma – each one of these basics fundaments occupying a vertex of a triangle of ‘universal constituent of the universe’. The difference is the exchange between them, as to form and develop life is needed to cease the joint of enerma by the manner. And when a living thing dies, it returns all matter and energy that consumed to form ‘life’.

SO LIFE IS FORMED BY MATTER AND ENERGY?

Evidently. In this sense, vegetables are the most important primary living beings. They are the only ones which from matter (minerals and water) and energy (sunlight) produces their own food. Therefore, all animals ‘parasites’ the vegetables. Because we do not know how to produce directly our own food, we rely on vegetables to our survival. Definitely, without vegetables would not exist animal life in Universe!

WHAT ABOUT    CARNIVORE?

Invariably, herbivores are also at the end of the food chain. In other words, even with animals feeding from others, the last of this series will always be a herbivore.

DON’T YOU FEEL YOUR CLAIM THAT LIFE NEEDS MATTER AND ENERGY DOES NOT HAPPEN BECAUSE OF FEEDING?

We are talking about different things. You refer to the increase and decrease of body mass that grows or decline with metabolization of consumed food. It is about that mass that settles ‘life’. The ‘life’ to which I refer is an indefinable fundament, different and abstract, inherent to living being. We acquire it at birth and lose it at death.

IS THERE ANY  POSSIBILITY THAT SOME DAY YOUR THEORY WILL BE PROVED?

Yes, I proved myself in laboratory.

HOW COME?

In 1991 I put some beans seeds within a transparent and sealed ampoule, along with water and nutrients soaked in cotton, so under these conditions they would develop for a certain time. Then I asked a friend of mine, a university professor and also high school colleague, to weigh (or determine the mass) of this set in a precision scale, in PUC University from Curitiba, periodically, leaving it in the intervals under the action of sunlight so the bean seeds could grow out. That was done for some days always following the germination. At the end what we surprisingly realized was that the system instead of grow, kept diminished more! Although in constant sunlight.

LET ME SEE IF I UNDERSTOOD: THE AMPOULE WITH LITTLE PLANTS GROWING MORE EVERY DAY KEPT WEIGHTING LIGHTER? WHY?

There is only one explanation: the “life” when generated steals matter and energy from the system!

I DON’T THINK I UNDERSOOD: SHOULD NOT THE TOTAL MASS WEIGHT MORE BECAUSE THE PLANT WAS DEVELOPING?

It is a little complicated: Actually, the total mass increased, but the mass lost in life is bigger and hides this initial grown. This means that the measured mass is a result of the mass increased by the development of the plant, less the mass that became a life. In the initial moment after the plant starts to grow, the mass that became a life is bigger than the first.

IF ‘LIFE’ CAN BE MEASURED, WHAT HAPPENS AT DEATH?

Today is known that when someone dies, there is a difference between their weight alive (before death) and dead (just after). It is even stablished the average of 21 grams. This is the amount of mass that a person loses to the universe due to the amount of ‘life’ lost. Therefore, ‘life’ returns all matter and energy consumed to be created.

IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE?

Well, if this is a true we can enlarge our ‘theory’. Matter has as unit the atom. And the energy, the quantum, isn’t it? We can honorably call the unit ‘life’ as nobody thought much about it. My suggestion is that we call it ‘blow’. There it is: the last piece of ‘life’ that is still ‘life’ could be called ‘blow’ because of this popular wording: ‘He only has left a breath of life’ (the expression in Portuguese would use the same word for breath and blow).

AT THE BEGINNING YOU SAID THAT YOUR IDEA TAKES US TO THE CONCLUSION OF EXISTENCE OF LIFE BEYOND EARTH?

Yes, because assuming that ‘life’ is a universal constituent, we can think that in this endless universe must have other places in which conditions are favorable to the transformation of enerma into ‘life’. You only cannot to say that these lives will be identical to our world.
